Welcome to the Talk Talk Talk Cover Podcast.
unknownBye you back.
SPEAKER_01Welcome back.
SPEAKER_03Welcome back.
SPEAKER_01Oh god. Oh voice. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah, good to know. And um, it's our last day recording in this studio. Holy shit. We have crazy. I thought about that yesterday. And then I was like, wait, no, it's not our last time. No, like this is our last time recording in my childhood bedroom. Unless we have to come here for something, but like officially, Sarah and I are moving out. We're moving out literally in like days. Four days. Like we're in the single digits. Yeah. Wow. I can't even believe that. I know. So the next time you'll see us, it won't be at the beach and it won't be here. It'll be on our new couch. It'll be on our new couch. Or out of our beds. I don't know. Yeah, we haven't decided yet. Depends on the lighting situation, really. But yeah, isn't that crazy? Do you think I should take the poster with us? Probably. Probably. Yeah. We look good in that. We do look good in that. Isn't that crazy? We recorded like half of a year in here. Holy shit. Wow. Yeah. I know we're on episode like 29. This is 29. And there's 52 weeks in the year. We pretty much started like right in January. Well, February-ish, maybe. I can't remember. We started, yeah, like the I think our first episode came out like last week of February. First week of February or something. Something like that. Yeah. Isn't that crazy? We're consistent. We are consistent. If nothing else. If nothing else, we're consistent. And that's why it's weird when people switch up because I don't get it. Yeah. Wow. We can commit. Like, I don't know. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And that's a good trait, I think.
SPEAKER_00I think so.
SPEAKER_01That's a great trait. Yeah. I'm actually pissed how good your slick back looks right now because I took mine down because I look like a rat. I look like I crawled out of a sewer. Because it was like not smooth. You crawled out of a sewer. Like I had my hair up and I had like two pieces down. You know, in the front pieces, like they're just giving greasy, straggly.
SPEAKER_03They're like stuck to your front.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I'm already at work and I'm like, I look homeless. I'm in a baggy t-shirt, which is supposed to be giving chic, and it was giving not that. Okay, I know what you mean. There's like, yeah. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Yeah. I wish I had a blowout today, but I'll be doing that after this, I fear. No. No, I can't think about that. Well, I slicked mine back with no product. Wow. It's just my grease. I think sometimes that's the best. But it looks the most natural and sometimes it's the best. It makes it more smooth. Like, I don't know. No, I agree. I did this on purpose. Yeah. The gel makes it look like streaming. It looks like grease. Yeah. Exactly. This is all natural. When you're eating it up and you're showing off your earring stack, I'm here for it. Yeah. Yeah. I literally, well, before this, I was like, we're gonna put some earrings in. I was like, I wonder if my holes are still open, like in my cartilage. And they are. I haven't worked here like two years in my cartilage. I was just gonna say that. Wait, turn your head. Yeah, because this one I was like, yeah. I was like, this one's giving new piercing. And I was like, maybe I'm just like, maybe I don't see her ears that often. I knew you were gonna notice it. I just was wondering how long it was just going. It was quick. I used to have a double helix here, but you're making me want to get something else. I want to have more than me. I thought I was I only have 10. Because I have four lobes. She only has ten. I have four lobes and I have I don't have any cartilage on this side. You're naked over there. Yeah, I'm naked over here because I used to want to like accentuate this ear because this ear is like a little floppy. So I never like look over here. I didn't want any of my earrings to weigh it down. Yeah, it's like curved at the top.
SPEAKER_00Now I have to look. Is it?
SPEAKER_01It's like a little bit right here, yeah. You can't tell you. You didn't want to draw attention. Yeah, I didn't want to draw attention, so I was like, everyone look at this side, look at the lights. Exactly. So that's funny. Yeah, but I thought I was done with piercings and I went to tattoos, but like your stack is kind of inspiring me. Oh, thank you. Yeah, maybe I just need better earrings that Claire recommended from Amazon. She's they haven't failed once.
SPEAKER_00Gotta get that Amazon look.
SPEAKER_01So literally, I'll send it to you.
SPEAKER_00Like I've had them for two years, and it's like the only earrings that I also love these ones that like swoop down under things.
SPEAKER_01I used to have those when I was younger. I used to have this whole earring tree. I was like huge into earrings. I had like, you know, I had like the hot dog ones, like I had all the silly ones, and then I had one of those. Hannah had those. I never had those actually. Yeah. I don't know why I never had those. I had some spiky ones from like Claire's. I would go to Claire's to get like Claire's and I were best. Five packs. I like it. Wait, have you been talking about the store Claire's? You're talking about our Claire's. Oh no, I was talking about actual. Oh, okay. Because I was like, wait, she's so cool. And then I was like, maybe she wasn't talking about it. No, I was talking about Claire. And now I'm talking about Claire's. Yeah. Yeah. I used to love Claire's. No, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I got my second done there at Claire's. Your buttery lobes? Yeah. She was like, your buttery lobes. I was like, it's weird. Okay, thank you. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01That's like a no, I would go to piercing pagoda.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know. Also, someone told me I have my hair in like two little cute here. Oh yeah, it looks cute. Someone said, Oh my god, you look like a crocker spaniel. I said, A crocker? Crocker Spaniel? Is it a cocker spaniel? Wait, what? What? You know their dogs like with the hair and the like ears have like. Oh yeah, I kind of like it. Your hair looks like the cute.
SPEAKER_01Wait, their ears are like so uh beautiful. I said, thank you. They're gorgeous. I'll take that as a compliment.
SPEAKER_00I don't know if you're trying to be funny right now, but I love it. Thanks for the crockery.
SPEAKER_01Wait, that just reminded me at the Ariana Grande concert. Someone, I was like, this guy was trying to sell me a shirt. I was like, oh no. And then he like tapped me on the shoulder. I was like, he was like, you look like Anna Delvey. Who? Do you guys not know who that is? I know the name of the Sheon? She uh there's a whole show about her. So basically, I was like, Do you mean the actress or the actual person? Because I'm hoping he meant the actress because I looked up like the actual Anna Delvey and she's like not that cute. The con artist? I probably yes, the con artist.
SPEAKER_00Oh, she was on dancing with the stars, right?
SPEAKER_01What? But in the okay, look up Anna Delvey, like the show. Because she she has like red hair and like glass. That's the real one.
SPEAKER_00That's rude as fuck.
SPEAKER_01No, that's the real one. Look up in the show, though. I was like.
SPEAKER_00Is it not this girl? Who's on dancing with a star?
SPEAKER_01Was she on dancing? I don't know. She was on dancing with a dance.
SPEAKER_00Okay, dancing with a star. She like was like I don't know. She did something.
SPEAKER_01Wait, what did that TikTok comment say that I looked like that one time, Sarah? Gabby Patino?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's better.
SPEAKER_01You're like, you look like Gabby Patino. I'm like, is that a call? She was murdered. That was crazy. Let me show you. Cause I was like, I had my glasses on, and um, I was like, I'm really this is the photo I saw at first. I was like, Thank you. Are you really? What is it? But let me show you the thing. This is the actress. Oh, I was like her. Oh yeah, okay, I see that.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I was like, but the other one rude. No, she's super crazy.
SPEAKER_01I was like, thank you so much. Because this is who I was thinking of. Then I was like, then I looked her up. I was like, wait. Dude, whenever somebody says I look like somebody, I just instantly say thank you, and then I turn around, I'm like, who the fuck was that? Who was that? I'll just say thank you and then I turn around and get the likes. I'm like, what? That much. That was yeah, that one because she's a redhead. Yeah. That's what I was thinking. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00What's up with the redhead like matchups? Just no, it's that's the only reason.
SPEAKER_01It's like I only get redheads, yeah. I get Emma Stone. I get that girl from Stranger Things. Oh, Sadie Sank. Sadie, uh.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but they're all like really cute.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so it's funny. Have you watched All Too Well short film? It's really good. Have you watched it? Oh my god. It's Taylor Swift. We're watching music video. Yeah, add that to the list of things to do in our apartment. Yeah, I know. Yeah, we'll be watching that. We have a lot of stuff to watch, actually. And Gilmore girls. And Gilmore girls. I like it. Mm-mm. Oh, that's so good. So good. You have to start that like in the fall, though. That's what we said. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yes, absolutely. And the air is crisp. Ugh, that's a wicked hottie.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Speaking of wicked hotties.
SPEAKER_02Let's get into our hotties and hotties.
SPEAKER_01Ariana. Yes. Can you please tell us your hottie?
SPEAKER_00I can. Okay. As you all know, Hunger Games has a lot of hotties in there.
SPEAKER_01You know what? Add that to the list because I've only seen like bits and pieces of it. Add that to the fucking list. That's crazy. I mean, add that. Yeah, I'll add that. Add that to your watch. They're on Netflix right now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and there's like a bunch of new ones coming out too.
SPEAKER_01There's yeah, Hey Mitch's games is coming out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what? Maybe I'll look and see if they have it on audiobook because I need something to listen to during this caveat. Oh my god. Anywho, go ahead.
SPEAKER_00So the actor who plays Finnic, um, Sam Clafflin. Don't even get me started. He is so his smile, his hair, his everything.
SPEAKER_01Wait, he plays in that show, in that movie, where like he's a paraplegic. That is like the sweetest movie that's ever come out of so good. Who is the boy? Wait, the guy from Harry Potter plays her boyfriend. What? What? So in that movie, the girl who's like the main character, I don't know her name. Her like boyfriend, because she's like his caretaker. Oh yes. Her boyfriend, he's like one of the he's um. He's like the funny looking boyfriend in real life.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, no, no. In the movie.
SPEAKER_01In the movie, she has a boyfriend and then she's taking care of this guy, but then they fall in love like while she's taking care of him. So her boyfriend, I can't remember, but he's like the one who's like always shy and getting picked on.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. Why can't I remember his name? He's so cute.
SPEAKER_01I mean that has my lock screen, by the way. Yeah. No, he's he's like I'm genuinely move that up in my bathroom. Nobody makes men that hot anymore. Like they don't like that. Now I want to watch the Hunger Games just so I can look at him. He he truly is unreal.
SPEAKER_00If I don't find the name of that guy.
SPEAKER_01No, he's truly an unreal man. Unreal. His dimples sold. I'm sold. And he's blonde in Hunger Games, is he not?
SPEAKER_00Neville.
SPEAKER_01He is. Neville, yeah. That like I'm behind that. I'm behind that. You can get behind me. Shut up, Londies. Okay. Yeah. Agreed. Love that Hottie. That was probably that might have been your best hottie of all time. That was the best.
SPEAKER_03You guys all knew him. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, definitely best one. Hot and bothered right off the bat.
SPEAKER_00By the way, what's his actual real name? Sam Claflin.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_00Sam Claflin. I don't give a damn. Something. I don't care.
SPEAKER_01No, I need him. Yeah. I need him. He just keeps getting hotter as he ages. He does.
SPEAKER_00He just posted a picture on Instagram. It was like his birthday, and it was like he was running, and it was like a down angle with like all Sarah's favorite angle.
SPEAKER_01Like, I'm gonna go follow him.
SPEAKER_00She's like, go in the kitchen and start whipping something up naked.
SPEAKER_03And that's what I want to leave. Because I'll join.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, I need a flag.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01That's really good. My hottie's not nearly as good as that. Neither's mine. Like, that's not it's not even gonna come close. Um, it's not even a person either. My hottie is um getting drinks with coworkers after work. I know I think we need to bring it back. It's like a lost art. Yeah, it is. Some companies do like like Hannah's company, like every Thursday, they do happy hour. And so you can go and get like free drinks and like hang out with your coworkers. Because why wouldn't you want to get to know like that boosts the morale like crazy? I think so. Like, let's not talk about work, let's just get to know each other on like a casual setting. Ugh, bring that back for sure. No, I'm trying to implement it. Period. Because someone has to do it. Someone does. I know. So it's gonna be me. And you know what? That's really brave of you, especially in like a very male-centered company. Yeah. Because like mine is also very male-centered company, and I wonder if they well, it's a little hard because it's like I don't want them to think that like I'm just asking them like personally. Yeah, you know what I mean? Because it it's fine if you ask like a girl your age. Right.
SPEAKER_00Go up for you.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I'm inviting everyone for a job. And that's what I'm trying to do. Until only one guy says yes, and you're like, you're like, oh wait, no, I am so sorry.
unknownSick.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But honestly, I would still go. Like, why not? Yeah, we're coworkers. That's what I mean. I'm let's get to know each other. Yeah, and if we don't have to be friends after if we don't workers.
SPEAKER_00Some people stay at work. And that's fine. Invite your work friends home.
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah, you don't, they're not take home friends. They're not take home friends. Yeah. We know this. We know this. Oh, I love that. That's a good hottie. Thanks. Okay, my hottie is I don't know if you guys do this, but like for a long time, probably up until like this past fall, I have slept only in one half of my bed. Like I always sleep in the exact same spot. Like I sleep right next to my nightstand. Like this is my part of the bed. Recently, I've been sleeping like fully across. Oh. And I wait, what do you mean? In the middle? Like, no, like I'm putting my head here and my legs this way. Like I have a full size, so like I'm just spreading, spread ego. Like, I'm taking the whole bed up. Yeah. And I've been living life. Wait, love that. Yeah. Thank you. Sometimes I switch in the middle. You know what? I need to. In like every aspect of the city. I'm trying. No one can. No, I love that. Nobody can. Yeah. It's like the stack with the small thing. It's the little things that matter. And like it's been changing because like I have chronic back problems. And so when I sleep in one since I was 14, mind you. Um like when you sleep in one spot, like your bed starts to like like I have a divot right here. Yeah. My my bed did that too. I've turned it. I've flipped her. Oh my god, it's a disaster. So from the back. So since I've been sleeping like this, there's like it's better for my back.
SPEAKER_00Your bed's like, what the fuck? We didn't know this.
SPEAKER_01Oh, have you flipped it around? I already have. Okay. So there's a dent here. Yeah. My bed's like that too, because I like lean towards one side of my face. Right. So I've unlocked these corners that haven't been touched on. So it's been going good. Yeah. Nice. Thank you. It's been good. I'm proud of you. Thank you. Yeah, I've been sleeping pretty good, honestly. That's right. Which is good for me because I I did get like when you first start working full time, like you're exhausted. But I feel like because I'm hybrid and because I found a way to sleep good. Like I'm not as like I'm rested, and like because when I'm not rested, I get sick and I get sad. So we can't have that. Yeah, we can't have that. So I've two Speaking of the Two S's. They get me bad. Yeah. So, anyways. It looks like the hybrid has changed my life too. Yeah, the hybrid is like that should be the only work model if your job is on a laptop. Like it makes no sense otherwise. No, yeah. I agree. Ugh. Anywho. What's your naughty? Let's get around to it.
SPEAKER_00Speaking of being sick. Oh no. I'm sick of this guy's ass at work. Oh shit. Oh, here we go. I'm so sick. I'm pissed. I I wrote my in my notes that I said, my naughty is out loud thinkers in a quiet space. This guy is. You would hate my ass. We're like, okay, like we're like, I'm learning this new position. Like, it's like intense like stuff. Like, I have no idea what I'm learning about at all. This is like the first time I've ever learned any of this knowledge. And so I'm really trying to lock in. And this guy's over here. It's like, oh, if we did this, oh fuck. No, that would actually piss me off. And then he's going like that. And he's by himself. Don't like this. He's like, hey, so when I did that, he's leaving his hand like this and talking to me. Let alone this man's probably like 50.
SPEAKER_01No, I actually don't like when people tell me. He's training for the same role as you.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. And then I'm like, I'm trying.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, what's his problem?
SPEAKER_00I swear to God. What's his problem? It's like I feel heat reading through my body.
SPEAKER_03I feel like he's a big thing. Hey, so I'm at a get up and move a seat.
SPEAKER_00No, and then I get like a message from my manager because he's like in the room. He's like, why is he touching you?
SPEAKER_01No, I literally would be like, you don't need to touch me. You can just say my name.
SPEAKER_00I know, I don't know. I can hear you. You need to set that boundary. That is a universal sign. Do not talk to me. I'm busy.
SPEAKER_01Some people truly cannot like read the room, and like, I've already said that's my naughty because like I just I don't know how you can.
SPEAKER_00It's not really that, but then it's like he's like, I'm like having a conversation with like two of my friends, and then like he's like listening in on the conversation and adding in.
SPEAKER_01But the age has really thrown it for me.
SPEAKER_00That like wasn't meant for you. Like, there's some things where we like talk kind of more openly. Yeah, because we're friends and we're the similar age, like we're peers. Exactly. But then it's like we're having a conversation. You're older than my father, but it's so weird. And it's just like I I I like to say I'm a nice person and I have a lot of patience, but this guy is really when you keep it. You don't have to be nice if someone's like the part that's pissing me, it's not even like the interrupting, it's the touching man.
SPEAKER_01I think you're allowed to say that. I think you're allowed to say, like, you're crossing my boundary. Like you can tell me, you don't have to keep touching me. And like you can say, I silly don't like that you keep touching me. I'd rather you not. You don't have yeah.
SPEAKER_00No, I'm like, don't. It's like so bad.
SPEAKER_01Because he probably isn't even realizing unless he's doing it on purpose. He is, yeah. Right. So either way, he needs to be notified because number one, if he doesn't know, you're telling him and then now he knows. Number two, if he's doing it on purpose, you calling him out is gonna embarrass him. So he's gonna stop. Because people like this don't get told not to do that. People just deal with it.
SPEAKER_00We're sitting like in a new room, and I'm like, I will be sitting in a corner.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna be the last one in the room so I can pick myself.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I'm gonna see where you're sitting at. I'm gonna sit across the room in the hall.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna be in that room. Oh my god, I can't. And then he's like, he'll get it.
SPEAKER_01Does he do it to other people?
SPEAKER_00He's just like saying it out loud, and he'll he'll like get an answer and he's like, wah-boom. I'm like, wait, what?
SPEAKER_01He says wah boom?
SPEAKER_00Like he's like doing like finger guns. Oh. I'm like, whoa. Like, I like can't.
SPEAKER_01He's really trying to be cool with you guys. He's like But you're pissing me off.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. He's like, wow, did you like see that? Can't even believe that. Period. I'm like, oh what?
SPEAKER_01He sounds like the weird guy from the bar.
SPEAKER_00He is really weird. In the cave. I fear he's really weird. And you know what?
SPEAKER_01You don't have to be friends with him. You have to be you have to do it. You actually don't have to be nice to him either if he's crossing a boundary. Right. You have you guys are co-workers, so you can say it. When I was doing my HR training, they were like very heavy on the fact that like tone is not bullying. Like you're not being harassed if somebody comes across with like a stern tone. So use a stern tone. I think so.
SPEAKER_00Hey, I don't appreciate when you touch me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I really would feel comfortable. Don't bother me when I have my headphones on.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, if I have my headphones on, I can't hear you and I don't want to talk to you. Like, I just like I literally have like music playing and I'm reading and like I literally have my headphones on.
SPEAKER_01Is he tapping you for things about work or just like? This is not a group activity.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. You're like, why? Actually, I don't know. But no. You don't have to tell him that. Like, I know, it's just like I'm like everything he has to touch. I'm just getting so frustrated. I'm like, no, I would be like he's a wicked naughty. You need to start showing watching this. You're a naughty.
SPEAKER_01You need to start showing it on your face more. Do you have that in you? Because I have it in me.
SPEAKER_00I know.
SPEAKER_01I think I'm like, I fear I can't not show it on your face.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it comes on my face, so no, I like I'm not even like turning my body like that. You're like, what do you want to do?
SPEAKER_01See, but you should be able to read body language. By 50 years old, you can't read my body language. Then what have you been doing this whole time?
SPEAKER_00He's tapping me, so I'm like, what are we doing?
SPEAKER_01Pissing me off.
SPEAKER_00What are we doing?
SPEAKER_01What are we doing?
SPEAKER_00I can't.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that's a really good naughty.
SPEAKER_00Bad naughty. I'm so sorry that happened.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's at the top.
SPEAKER_00No, bottom. Yeah, bottom. All the way at the bottom. It's in the delete bin, you know. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Gotta go. Ugh. Anyways. Anyways. Thanks to hate. Here's mine. Being insulted on Hinge.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_01No, because I just don't understand the thought process behind it. Because are you are you assuming that I'm gonna think it's funny that you're making fun of me and want to match with you? Are you just doing it purely as like an asshole? That's what I mean.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Like, by the way, I looked good and you liked the photo and you want it to match with me, so I'm confused. Guys, this guy said he liked my photo and said, you look like someone just farted on you.
SPEAKER_03That's not great. It's not a great thing to say.
SPEAKER_01He's talking about my facial expression, and I know I like I think I get what he means, but also face kind of vibe. You're like witching. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But like, why would you say that to me before like we've even even had a like how about hello? How are you? Well, hello.
SPEAKER_00I guess hey, also, did someone shit near you?
SPEAKER_01I guess I don't get the motive because like I understand flirty banter. But like it's disrespectful. It's disrespectful. So like are you saying it because you want to be an asshole? Are you saying it because you think I'm gonna think it's funny? Well, here's the thing. I can I can take like I don't know somebody. Exactly. I don't know you, so it's like it's just disrespectful at this point. Yeah, agreed.
SPEAKER_00Well, and you can't tell tone. Right. Not at all. I don't know if you're being.
SPEAKER_01You look like someone just farted on you, though.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01Like this is clearly why you're unhinged because you don't know how to talk to women. He also didn't even just say like your expression looks like you look like you personally look like someone farted near you. You look like you smell like a fart. Like, okay. Did you fart on your phone when you typed this? Like, what are we talking about? Yeah. Genuinely.
SPEAKER_00Because I smelled it.
SPEAKER_01I used to have like just a literal folder full of screenshots of like weird things that men would say. I just don't know. On Hinge specifically, like I really I think it's a scary place. I don't really like Hinge at all. Yeah. I don't either. Because it's really, it's really disappointing when you go on there and it's like a bunch of people who are nothing like you and they're saying that this is like your match. Or like it's not. Yeah. I promise you're a really good match.
SPEAKER_00I swear, you guys are like really compatible.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I'm like, no, we're not really. This guy just said that I look like I smell farts. Like, we're not compatible. What are we talking about? I just don't understand that. Like you're if you want to match me, don't say like how about you look pretty? Yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_00Wow, I'm in love.
SPEAKER_01So yesterday Hinge was our hottie, and today it's a naughty. Yeah. Oh. Or last week. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Last week for you. Last week. I'm like, what? Yeah. Hey, we have to do what we have to do. Okay. They get their content how they get it. Um, so my naughty today, guys, on my drive home, I was sitting in traffic, and every time I sat in traffic, I was like writing down a naughty. I was like, I got a lot of naughties today. Okay, so the one I'm gonna pick is when you're not home and your hair looks bad. There's nothing I can do about it. I'm at work today, and hopefully you can't tell, but you might be able to. Um, I had my hair in the back. It literally doesn't look bad at all. Thank God. I don't think it looks greasy. I had my hair natural this weekend, so then I was like, okay, I'll just put it in like a cute slick back and I'll have like a wavy pony. Yeah. And so I do that this morning, and I'm like looking in the car when I get to work, and I'm like, you look like a fucking drowned rat. Like you look bad. Right when you get there, too. Right when I get there, and now I have to sit all day.
SPEAKER_00Now I have eight hours at work looking like a fucking chunkus. It's all I didn't think of. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01And I'm in a room full of men who all just get up and wash their they take a shower, and it's like an everything shower every day. It's like, yeah, they don't have to do anything and they just they're allowed to wear hats to work. And I'm like, What? Yeah, people wear baseball hats to work at my work. That feels illegal. Yeah, it's like very chill vibes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um yeah, some people wear like jeans and like sweatshirts. Like people wear. That's like our vibe.
SPEAKER_01Right? Yeah. People do. It's like very, very good. And I'm like, I I pull up like damn near like business professional. Yeah, someone's next to me in a hoodie.
SPEAKER_00Like, I showed up one day to work, and I showed up and like it was like the like like these type of pants, but they were like just straight legged all the way down, and I wore a hoodie, and I was like, I'm a bum. Yes, I am a bum.
SPEAKER_01I felt like that way today because I had my nasty slicky and then, which mind you, my hair I cleaned it like two days ago. Like my hair is not even dirty, it just looked bad. And I had like this t-shirt on with these new pants that I got. I like this outfit. Thank you. I was trying to give I feel like you didn't look as bad as you thought you did. We've already talked about the fact that I feel like baggy clothes, I'm trying to get into them. Oh, yeah. Because like, I don't know, I've always just worn like tighter fitting stuff. I feel like it makes more sense for my body. So I was like, okay, we're giving Sheik like oversized. And then I look in the mirror, hey, you drowned Rob. Hey, you're nasty. You're showing up in a t-shirt and baggy pants at work. More than that. So um hating out. I got the second I get in the car, I take my hair out, and then I'm driving away, and everyone's in the parking lot. I'm like, so my hair's sticking straight up, and don't look at me. Don't look at me. I'm trying to go home. I literally don't think you looked bad at all, though. Thank God. Thank you. Like I didn't see your slick back, but I like your hair looks good right now. So I feel like it was just in your head. Thank you. Sometimes it is. And honestly, the ponytail was giving me a headache, which was probably making it worse. Like, I have a headache behind my eyes right now, and it's pissing me off. That is the worst. Ponytail headache is double knotty. And then it's like I can't do anything about it. I'm in the middle of work. I didn't bring a claw clip. First of all, rookie move. I know. And I need to have like everything on the phone. And the woman next to me has a fresh blowout, so I wanted to kill myself.
unknownDamn.
SPEAKER_01I was like, you look really good, and I look like a drowned. Oh, okay. Thank you. Tomorrow's a new day. Tomorrow's a new day, and I'm washing my hair. Yeah, new day, fresh blowout. Yeah. I don't even give a damn. I'm staying up and drying my hair. Wait, I hate at work. Um, the lighting like in the bathroom is like not good. So every time I'm gonna do it. Anywhere there's no windows, I look like shit. No, I just I look awful.
SPEAKER_00I just go in there blind.
SPEAKER_01No, like I really don't know what I would do. There's some people in the office who like work in cubicles. I work like in a separate little office, and so I have windows. Like, if I didn't have windows, I genuinely nice. I I really couldn't do it. Wait, you have your own office? So my office is like a full marketing office. Like, all there's like there's like eight of us in there, and all of our desks are like along the wall. We all have stand-up desks too. They go up and down. That's so nice. I really like they're like thinking it's the bare minimum. I'm like, you guys don't know what I came from. Wait, yeah. Like I came from like literally like a wooden chair in like a conference room. Like, you guys have no idea what this means to me. You guys have seating outside for lunch. I wasn't allowed to go outside, mind you. There was it. We asked for a bench, should they say? And they said no. I said, please, dear God, I just want to go outside. No, that's no benches. It's like when they take benches away from the homeless. Like, that's how I spell I'm like, I just want to eat outside. Wait, I actually can't wait for my drive tomorrow because I can listen to our podcast. I know. Wait, I get excited too. Should we get into our topics? Yes. Okay. I low-key smell bad. It's fine. Also, it could be a question of the week, but just get into it. Okay, okay, let's get into it. Okay. Question. Yes. Okay. How do you guys feel about falling asleep on the phone with your partner? Or I I guess you don't even have to be dating, but like with someone that you're like talking to. Like, how do you feel?
SPEAKER_03My initial response is fuck no.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, because uh I think the codependency aspect gets like a little hard for me because I just feel like you should be able to just I mean, I guess I get why it's sweet, but it's like good night, I'm going to bed. I don't need to have you on the phone like I'm a grown-up. I I don't think I'll get a good night's sleep because I have someone stalking me on my phone. Like I can feel you breathing. It's okay, thank you. I think it's weird. I don't like it. I don't like it, it's creepy.
SPEAKER_00He like wanted to do that. Like all the time.
SPEAKER_01Same. All men want to do that. We'd have never experienced that all day. And I was like, I hope you don't.
SPEAKER_00No, you want to talk all day, every day, until I fall asleep. And I was like, Hey, so I'm over you.
SPEAKER_01I want to watch a show.
SPEAKER_00There's nothing else to talk about.
SPEAKER_01Hello? This literally exactly correlates with what we were talking about last episode, where with like the they don't answer right away because they want to seem like they're busy. These guys are the opposite. They don't have a life until they're on it's yeah, that's too much.
SPEAKER_00Because there's nothing going on, so you all you want to do is talk to me, but there's nothing. It's controlling.
SPEAKER_01I think it's normal to have a phone call at night if like you're like catching up with your boyfriend, and it's like, okay, good night. I'm gonna go take a shower and I'm gonna like wind down. I don't need you to be there the whole time.
unknownWind down.
SPEAKER_01I love being in the bathroom for an hour. Like, I'm gonna take a shower. I'm gonna do my skincare. I'm gonna derma plane my face, and I'm gonna do it in my bathrobe the entire time. Yeah. My dream scenario. I don't need a man. Why would a man be there? The only man's phone. The only man that I want is fucking Kurt Hummel in Greece, sing in Glee singing to me on my iPad while I'm doing my skincare. That's the only thing I want is glee on. And I just want to be enjoying. I don't need somebody.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I love it. We don't want to be someone nagging us. I don't want to talk to you. And how are you? I'm good.
SPEAKER_01Ask me how I am again.
SPEAKER_00And then it's just silence on the phone on the phone. That's how I am. I have to go.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes it is too much. Sometimes I want to get on the phone and talk to you, but sometimes being on the phone is my worst nightmare. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Me either. The only time I like talking on the phone in the car.
SPEAKER_01Okay, me too. Because I know. Because I have I have an endpoint. Because like if they know I'm home and they're like, let's just have done. But also, like, I can't talk to you when I have to be running around doing things. I have a podcast to edit and I can't listen to that and talk to you. No, look at that. I have stuff to do, and my phone is being in use. It's too much. I'm glad you asked this question. This is important. Thank you. I know because well, I'm glad you guys feel the same way because I kind of soft launched it to see if you guys were gonna say it was cute. I was like, well, like it's sometimes cute. Yeah. I was forced to do it before, and it was like, No, like you're controlling. Yeah, controlling.
SPEAKER_00It's like, what does he know sound like when I sleep? Also, my phone battery.
SPEAKER_01It was just like he he was just scared that I was cheating on him. Three in the morning? Literally. Trying to sleep. It's Wednesday now here, and I'm just asleep. Like, I like could not even sleep all night. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I honestly don't know your your screen is bright. Like I sleep in complete darkness. I know. And then it's like the light is there, and then your phone's like a thousand degrees because it's trying to get it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like you're ruining your my battery. No, and my sleep.
SPEAKER_00You're ruining the environment. I have to go.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I've actually never ever thought about wanting to do that with someone.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't why why would I want to do that?
SPEAKER_01So you guys go to FaceTime tonight when we fall asleep.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You can hear me talk in my sweetness. No.
SPEAKER_01I'd rather kill us both. Oh! Oh, alright. Damn. You know what? That's fine. Okay, well, I have another um dating thing to bring up. So you know when like you're either going on a date or like you know that someone cute's gonna be at the bar, she's like getting all worked up about like what you're gonna wear. Yeah. And at the end of the day, I've realized that like me being hot was like never the question.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Like we get so worked up about what we're gonna wear. But it's like they already know that I'm a baddie. It's just we're they already know what I look like. We're just wondering if our personalities match. Like, this is not love is blind, babe. Like, I already know I'm a baddie. That's so true. He knows I'm a baddie. Like, we just need to see if our personality. So I'm just it's more of a PSA to everybody that, like, yes, you should like dress to impress and like show up as you want to be seen. But like, don't work yourself up. They already know what you look like. That's so true. I've been like feeling like that recently because I I feel like my hinge is like I keep bringing up the hinge is like heavy on my mind, apparently. But like, I'm like, I feel like my pictures are catfishing, but I'm like, no, I literally took that last night. Like, I still see you every day.
SPEAKER_02You look like that.
SPEAKER_03That's still me.
unknownI still know her.
SPEAKER_03I still know her. It's like imposter syndrome.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, it's because like you're sitting at actually home scrolling on hinge, and we just look like drowned rats. Yeah. And then it's like but then it's like these guys look like drowned rats on their hinge, so how can they look in real life?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Like what we're doing fine. I think we're doing right just fine.
SPEAKER_00No, but like speaking on your situation, like, you know, with going out and stuff, I had like a weird situation. So I told you about like I had like this like work crush.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00You know, I can think people I attractive that work. I think that's fine. You know, and so then you know, I just looked on Instagram a little, and I found his Instagram, and then I looked on his like tagged post, and then I saw someone that I knew was in the picture with him. I said, So naturally, I text that person and I say, you know, how do you know that? Like, what are you thinking? Blah blah blah. And they're like, oh, like we're going out. Is it a girl that you texted or a guy? It's a guy, okay? Kind of like a cousin. Okay. Ish. Family family friends. Yeah, exactly. So I'm like texting him, he's like, oh, like I like kind of know him, whatever, but we're going out this weekend.
SPEAKER_01Like, what are the chances he's going out with him?
SPEAKER_00I said, I was like, what the fuck? This weekend? They were going out. It was last weekend. Their plans change, my chance their plans change, whatever. Um but then they ended up still going out together, so like the Red Sox. I said, Oh, crazy, no one by still. Yeah, um, but anyways, so then they went and I was like, he was like, oh, like I'll ask him, like, you know, about you, and I was like, no!
SPEAKER_01Wait, this that's why I asked if it was a woman or a man because that was. Yeah, because I'm like, if it's it's if it's so can I if it's a woman, they would never think to tell.
SPEAKER_03Because it gets worse you can clearly tell a man did all this. So then I just got the chills.
SPEAKER_00I'm like out, I'm like out at the lake, like doing like whatever, and then I get a text being like, oh my god, I brought you up, and I told him that he liked you. You liked him.
SPEAKER_03Do not what the fuck are you thinking? How old are you? You're on the plane. You're going up to my crush and saying, are you?
SPEAKER_01Stab you with a fork. Jimmy, you have to see this guy at work.
SPEAKER_03I have to quit my job.
SPEAKER_01Have you seen him since?
SPEAKER_00No, we I wouldn't say when I was at work, but when I did, I'm like, this is literally why you can't tell men anything.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna st wait, you should start doing shit like that to men. If they say they're into your I'm gonna go tell her right off the bat. Hey, my buddy thinks you're hot.
SPEAKER_03I was doing we should start doing that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, even if they don't say that, just go to random people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, because that was foul. I honestly went yeah. That was crazy.
SPEAKER_01That's why I was wondering, because I was like, I feel I'm shocked that you trusted a man with that information.
SPEAKER_00I only asked, I was like, oh, I thought he was cute at the office or whatever.
SPEAKER_01Like, you know, I was and then whatever men are so stupid in their stuff.
SPEAKER_03Hey, you need to do your bed.
SPEAKER_01Like, I don't know if you know this, but she did look up your Instagram and your tag. She found me. She needs to know. That feels like honestly, like the first step of talking to somebody though is like stalking them. So, like, you know what? It's fine. I've done it. Like, I've already Googled your dad and what he does for work. You know, I can't I you have to do your your due diligence is very important.
SPEAKER_00But no, this fucker ruined it. I said, God damn it. Yeah, now it's over. And now he thinks I'm a freak. Wow. So now I can never say. Hey, but you know what?
SPEAKER_01You can't say the wrong thing to the right person because if he already had the hots for you, he would have been like, no way she's been talking about me. Right. And it would work. So it could be fine.
SPEAKER_00So we'll see how this goes because uh he's playing fog football and I'm gonna do it. Oh so I'm just gonna do this. Who and who are you? Wait, I went no, you introducing yourself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, my name is Ari. I think, yeah, you probably have to do that.
SPEAKER_00I think he knows my name. Well, now he does, and now it's what I'm saying. Wait, that's kind of awkward.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so uh I think I would have to quit.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's my sister. She's my twin. No, you know what? You have that wasn't me.
SPEAKER_01You have to stand ten toes down. Yeah. Like, this is like what we've been talking about.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I think you're gorgeous. You're a six-foot-tall man, and you're huge. Why wouldn't I think you're gorgeous? You know what? Yeah. Let's play football. And I said that.
SPEAKER_03And I said what I said. What are you doing after?
SPEAKER_00What are you doing after?
SPEAKER_01And while now that it's yeah, now that it's out in the open, are you with me or you against me?
SPEAKER_00You're either with it or you're not.
SPEAKER_01And if you're not, you're going down. If you're not, I'm switching teams and I'm covering.
SPEAKER_00You're taking out your ankles. Yeah. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01You know what? This honestly, maybe this is good. Wow. I don't even remember what your question was. That was crazy.
SPEAKER_00I don't know, but I was like, this came out of nowhere. I was like, god damn it, I have to do that. I'm glad you brought this up.
SPEAKER_01No, legit. This is something that we need to talk. Dead ass. Guys need to take, I mean, all this time that they're living with women and stuff, it's like you don't pick up on the fact that you're not gonna be able to do it. It's actually insane.
SPEAKER_00It's crazy. It's genuinely insane.
SPEAKER_01And I've been saying this to my guy relatives. Like, if I'm into their friends, I'm like, come on. The way that you have to tell them don't tell me yeah, it's either they come right out and say it or they don't say a word. I'm like, it's okay to bring me up. Right. It's okay to show my Instagram, like, help me a little. It's either they don't help at all. Or they're wingmen, hey, so they're in love with you. Oh.
SPEAKER_00I have to go. Oh. I have to leave the country.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Like, how do you guys wingman wingman their friends? They don't. They dance in a circle with their arms around each other at the club. They dance. Okay. They dance with each other.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. But do you know, you know, in um how I met your mother? And he's like, have you met?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00He like will tap on a girl's shoulder. Like his buddy will be like, Oh, have you met my friend? Like, have you met Kara? And then you walk away.
SPEAKER_01And then it's just me standing there like it's awkward. Yeah, but it works every time. It's just honestly the hardest part. The hardest part about going up to somebody is the initial, what do I say? So you literally just start like like when we went to the Cape and Ari was like, who's winning? Like, easy in and now we can talk about whatever. Have you met Sarah? Well, most people like if you're at a bar, like standing around and stuff, like most people are open to talking to other people. Like you're out in public for a reason. Okay. And so are they. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I think so. I think we just need to like have I think we should start doing that. Like just a casual have you make care.
SPEAKER_01And then they're gonna say, Have you watched How I Met Your Mother? And I'm gonna say, Yes, I hated the ending.
SPEAKER_00I just finished. Wait, I haven't seen it.
SPEAKER_01Do you want us to spoil it?
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00The ending? The ending pissed me off so bad. I hate that moment. Sorry. Do you? Yeah, I don't like her. Wow, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_01We won't get into it. We won't get rid of it. Okay, I'll have to watch. I would definitely watch it. Um I binged it in two weeks because it was going off of Netflix, and then I found out it was on Hulu.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01So we can watch it. Yeah, but like you can like add that to the list.
SPEAKER_00Like some of the episodes are just like filler.
SPEAKER_01It's like Friends, where like you could watch one episode and like get the gist. Okay. But like it's better to start start to finish kind of. I haven't watched Friends fully either. I've never seen it. We have to watch that. Okay. Oh my god. We have a lot to do. These are all very fall shows, I feel like. They're just like cozy, like sit down and watch. Wait, New Girl, have you seen? I know you have to. New girl is my favorite. Okay. What can you watch it on?
SPEAKER_00It's on Disney.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I will be starting that.
SPEAKER_00Dude, New Girl is so good. New Girl is so good. I just like started and I just watched the part where like Nick and Jess like kiss spoiler. Kiss for the first time.
SPEAKER_01Okay, no one knows that in the hallway. And they're just Wait, because the tension builds for so long. Yeah, what's up? Hey, so Nick is in a new movie and I just watched it. It's called The Dank. It's a pickleball movie. Wait, I saw like it. It was honestly really silly. I like like him. I like him too. He's wicked. Wait, I thought he was really hot when I watched it when I was like 16.
SPEAKER_00I think Schmidt is hot.
SPEAKER_01Schmidt, yeah. Winston's hot. Coach is hot.
SPEAKER_00Girl hot. Coach is balldy.
SPEAKER_01Coach is wicked hot. Coach, coach is. I thought he was bald. He's got a little bit of hair.
SPEAKER_00I think it's like literally like buttons.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Coach is in the show Shrinking that I've been watching as well. He's like a boyfriend. Yeah. You would love it. I think it's a good one. If you like New Girl, and Marshall from How I Met Your Mother is in it.
SPEAKER_00I love him too. And Robin is also in it.
SPEAKER_01Robin is also in it.
SPEAKER_00Robin like pissed me off.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but she she pisses me off more in this show than she does in that show. But she's in like the third season or second season, so like you'll be fine for the first season.
SPEAKER_00I don't hate her that bad because I love women. But I would never hate on another woman. But if I did.
SPEAKER_01It's because she's pick me in that show. It's because she's from Canada and she's like she was raised as a boy because her dad wanted a son. I'm a girl's girl until it comes to a pick me. Yeah. And so she's giving like, I'm not like every other girl, which is like she's like one of the guys.
SPEAKER_00She's one of the guys. And she literally gets with so many chances.
SPEAKER_01She gets with all of the guys. Except Marshall, because Marshall's too much. I like no people like that. Yeah, that's terrible news. They sleep with all their guys.
SPEAKER_00For that to happen.
SPEAKER_01And it literally happened in one episode. All of the big stuff happened in one episode. Like they must have. It was like the worst way to short. Do you know the premise of it?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01The premise of the show is that the main guy, Ted, is sitting down his two kids and telling you, This is how I met your mother. Oh, okay. The whole thing is about him like in his early 30s. Yeah, it's funny. Yeah. And it's like his 30s and like how he yeah, how he like lived with his buddies and like all like his friend group or whatever, and like all the girls that he dated leading up to the mom. But like I don't want to ruin it for you. Are you gonna watch it? I don't know, I might. Okay, well, like there's like one consistent person and he's pretty much pining for her the whole time. And then the ending, you figure out the ending, and you're like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh, he like concludes the story. Yeah, he finishes the story. Right.
SPEAKER_00It's like you get the water.
SPEAKER_01And it was leading up to that.
SPEAKER_00Nine seasons. Nine seasons of disappointment. Nine seasons is crazy.
SPEAKER_01You watch nine seasons in two weeks. I was unemployed.
SPEAKER_00No, like only three episodes 25 minutes long.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and like I would just put it on while I was doing whatever.
SPEAKER_00I put it on like when I'm getting ready in the morning. Yeah. Like when I'm winding up on, like, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like I'm applying to jobs with that in the background.
SPEAKER_00Like I'm not like watching like every detail of the show. Right. I'm kind of just listening.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Wait, I need a new show to watch.
SPEAKER_00New girl is so gone.
SPEAKER_01I've seen that. Hey, have you started Glee? I couldn't get through. I've seen Glee. I've seen like two seasons of Glee. I'm on the end of season two at the moment. How long is Drake in it? Who? Drake? Um, what?
SPEAKER_00Jake Wait, what?
SPEAKER_01Drake was in Glee. Actual Drake? Actual. Look it up. Haven't seen him yet.
SPEAKER_00Are we sure that's real? Yes. Drake is in Glee.
SPEAKER_01Now I'm questioning if it was a different show. There are like big actors and actors. Right. He was like legit like an actor. Heidi Clum was just in it. Oh, really? What do you mean just? Wait, are they still filming it? No, like the episode I just watched. Was that Heidi? No, no, it wasn't Heidi. It was um it was Gwenneth. It was Gwenneth Paltro. Wait, what was he in?
SPEAKER_00He is in some movie. Or like some. Oh, he was in like this? What show?
SPEAKER_01Why did I think it was Glee? Well, I get Heidi Klume and Gwyneth Paltro mixed up all the time. It was Gwenneth Paltro. It was not Heidi Cloom. Oh, wait, me too. They're like the same font to me. Yeah. Or same person, different font, kind of bad. Oh Degrassi. Oh Degrassi, yes.
SPEAKER_00Is that a show? It was like a show in the early 2000s, I think.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we're getting off track. Anybody have anything else to add? No.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01That's all.
SPEAKER_00Wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_01Let's take a peek at our notes.
SPEAKER_00Like I I just have another one.
SPEAKER_01We're just gonna talk about all of the shows we've ever watched in our whole lives. I know. If every Okay, hold on. This is a deep question. Who? If everyone Jesus Christ! If everyone in the world wrote down their problems and put it in a hat, would you like risk taking someone else's problem?
SPEAKER_02Fuck no. My biggest problem is my snap awayship isn't answering me. Like, I'm good. I'm not picking someone else's problem.
SPEAKER_03Are you out of your mind? She's got her bag is full. Her bag is full and it's dragging down.
SPEAKER_02Like, my biggest issue is that I haven't packed my clothes for my brand new apartment. I'm not picking that. I got it pretty good over here. Wait, yeah, you got like sent to another country.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like I'm like all of a sudden, all of a sudden I'm homeless and like I have no rights. I think I'm gonna.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think I'm probably gonna be hoping for like a billionaire's problem or something. I'm hoping that like my Bugatti ran out of gas or something. No.
SPEAKER_03No, your problem is like you have blue balls. No. Wait, yeah. No, my problem is. My problem is that a man's problem. Shit.
SPEAKER_01My problem is that I'm pregnant with my 11th child. No, I'm not picking that out of a hat.
SPEAKER_00Hey, I don't want that. Hey, I want to repeg.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, what would you what would you do?
SPEAKER_00Wait, is there like a prize? Like, why would I pick in that hat? Like, am I getting money or like well this unlimited life?
SPEAKER_01It would sound good if you had a lot of problems. Yeah. Do you have a lot of problems that you're willing to switch?
SPEAKER_00Like, that's it's like willing to switch a problem.
SPEAKER_01It's like meant to like put into perspective like your problems aren't that bit. Yeah, exactly. Well, that's exactly it. Like, if you had a really bad life, like a really bad thing. Some people would be willing to risk it. Yeah. Like you would pick out of that hat. Like, what if you were in touch with you? What if you were in serious debt and you had an abusive boyfriend? You're like, oh, I'm picking out of that hat. Like, my life can't get much worse than this. Right. And then all of a sudden you're on the street. That's terrible.
unknownShit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm not picking out the hat.
SPEAKER_03No, I'll tell you. Are you picking out of the hat?
unknownFuck.
SPEAKER_03What are we doing? Okay, comment below.
SPEAKER_01Mom with the hat among me. Are you gonna pick out the hat? And like, shout out to people who do have big problems because like I'm I really can't believe like shout out you and your issues.
SPEAKER_00Yo, shout out to people whose life suck right now.
SPEAKER_03Yo, hashtag being wrong. Hashtag full.
SPEAKER_01No, but like it's so serious. Like, I'm sitting around here with a stomachache about nothing. And it's like people are legitimately. People are dying for hair.
SPEAKER_00People are dying.
SPEAKER_01Like I went outside tonight and I like took a breath. Like I took a breath of fresh air. I'm like, hey, something is not on that team. Have you ever no, but like that's how I feel when I go on like on a hiking trip and I'm standing in the middle of the biggest mountains you've ever seen, and I'm like, guys, Excel is not real. Like, none of these problems that like I have are actually anything that matters. No, it's so true. My biggest problem was today today was that I had to get on a Teams meeting.
SPEAKER_03Like, my biggest problem was my bad ponytail. Like, I think I'm good. Like, Jesus Christ, I need to get a grip. I'm not gambling my slicky bun for something actually worse. What would be a better problem than having a slicky bun issue?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like what would be that? Like maybe like I I I ran out of my favorite snack at home.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like I have two two people invited me to do fun things and I have to pick one. Oh no.
SPEAKER_03Wait, that's how I feel. Like no, that is like my moral dilemma every time, though.
SPEAKER_01No, that's how I feel but this Saturday, because I'm like, oh my god, I have to move into a new apartment and then I have to go on vacation. Like, I'm so annoyed. I can't have to pick one.
SPEAKER_03Like shit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Like it's a problem, but it's a problem. You know what? Like a problem is a problem.
SPEAKER_03At the end of the day, it's still a problem. That's my biggest problem, mate.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gambling that. No. No one can take that from me.
SPEAKER_03No. No one can take that.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that's a really good question.
SPEAKER_03I didn't, I thought it was gonna be deep.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03No, that was better.
SPEAKER_01Damn. Okay, well, maybe maybe we should talk it over. Let's see.
SPEAKER_02Let's talk it over. My biggest problem is that I'm laughing too much and I have a headache.
SPEAKER_00I'm too happy.
SPEAKER_02I'm too fucking happy. I have a headache. God fucking damn it.
SPEAKER_00How dare you?
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, I need to pull it together. Okay, what is Brian?
SPEAKER_01I don't even remember what our question of the week is. Okay, don't worry. Don't worry, I got it. Okay, our question is how do you feel about sharing locations with your partner? Oh yeah. Um, I think it's fine. Yeah. As long as you're not a fucking star setter. Okay, the answers were I have nothing to hide, or they don't need to know where I am all the time. I said I have nothing to hide because like if we're in a relationship, like you're gonna like I'm not going anywhere that's sus. So like if you want to look where I am, that's fine. But like unl if you're like really looking like all the time, you're probably not my boyfriend. So it's really not an issue. Yeah, that's so true.
SPEAKER_00I think in a relationship, I think it's like nice. It's like, oh, like my girlfriend's going for a drive. Yeah. Let me make sure she made it there. Like agreed. You know, like that.
SPEAKER_01Like, she's on a girl's night out, let me make sure she's breathing. Let's make sure she's safe. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I think it's weird if you guys are dating and you automatically have each other's location.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Like, because I've like shared locations too early, and then it was like, yeah, whoa. Yeah. Like that's like scary. Like how how soon into relationship would you share your location? It's a really good question. Maybe like it's like situational though.
SPEAKER_00I feel, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because like it depends who the guy is. Like, were you guys friends before and now you're dating? It's like, well, I've already known you. Or is it like we just met on hinge, like we've been dating for two months. Like, I still don't really know you. Yeah, like I don't want you to know where I am. Yeah. Which I think that's fine. And if they're really pushing you to give it to you and you're not comfortable, then like you're here. There it is. Red flag. Yeah. Agreed. Okay, wait. I said they don't need to know where I am all the time. Well, I I probably would have bet my life on that because you don't like the clinging, and like you like to be independent, and so you're like, you need to trust when I tell you where I am. Yeah. And I think that's how I feel. I think that's absolutely fine.
SPEAKER_00Well, if you guys have communication, hey, I'm going here. Right.
SPEAKER_01People have been dating since the dawn of people's locations. Right. But like I don't need them stalking my location. Be like, yeah, why are you driving on this road right now? No, right. I never think so.
SPEAKER_00My nana's like, where are you going? I'm like, what are you what?
SPEAKER_01Why are you looking?
SPEAKER_00The only time I'm getting anything good shopping, I'm like, how do you know I'm out right now? Like, what are you doing?
SPEAKER_01The only time I'm checking your location really is if number one, you're on your way to my house and I want to know how far away you are. Number two is if I want to call you and I want to see like if you're at home or like where you are. Right. Other than that, I'm not. Honestly, me too. I'm not checking. Yeah, because I'm not gonna call you if I know you're at work. Like, let me look real quick instead of texting you and bothering you. I can literally just look.
SPEAKER_00Like, I have like my family's location. So if I'm going to see who's home or if I've got my grandparents' house, like I have their location.
SPEAKER_01Honestly, we started sharing location when we went to Paris together. Because I was like, if either of us gets lost. I'm wondering when we start sharing. Because we were like, we're literally going abroad. We need to know where each other is, just in case we get separated. Right. Yeah, and we don't have yeah. So I do feel like sharing locations is like a love language. So I think I would do it at some point. I just like really have to trust that they're not gonna use it. But you know when it's weird is when you have like a friendship breakup and you still have it. Like I just remove somebody. It's so awkward. Like you can remove them as well. Like you can stop sharing and you can remove, yeah. Cause I like I'm like, why do I still have this person from like so many years ago? It's like you just never even think, but I'm like, locate, they don't need to know where I am. Yeah, because it's kind of weird. It is kind of weird like we don't talk anymore. Like we don't have my location out there. At the time it made sense, but now it doesn't. Yeah. Yeah. But it it I don't like how it outs you. Like, why are you telling them when exactly I still have to do it? It's actually so fucked up. And it pops it pops up in your text messages and it'll say, like, Ariana, stop sharing location. At like this time, at this date. It's genuinely fucked up.
SPEAKER_03That's actually fucked.
SPEAKER_01It's fine. Like, it's fine if I'm not texting them everywhere again. Because then it's like it's been so long, let me just remove them. But like, if I did that to you, you guys would like open your phone and be like, what the heck? Where are you? And you're not supposed to be there. I already know it. Yeah, yeah, literally. But also, that's like like you can just turn your location off at that point. Like, to stop sharing location is like goodbye. Right. Like, we're done. Oh, I didn't even know that was an option. You can fully shut off, like there's like a button that you can you can just turn it off. Like, if you you want to switch it on and off. Do you get notified of that? No. Okay. Yeah. Cause I always wonder how people do that when like they're throwing surprises, and it's like you had to stop sharing it fully, but no, you can just shut it off. You can shut it off, yeah. And it'll just say no location found, and it'll look like it's like loading for them, but it's OMG. Okay, that's good to know. Yeah, yeah. Keep that in your back pocket. Yeah, because like honestly, like location. Yeah, right. But it's like if you're throwing a surprise, like it's like I'm not supposed to be here right now, and you're gonna know I'm here or whatever. Yeah. Right. I'm not doing anything devious, so yeah, like that's that's the most doing is throwing the surprise. Right. The only reason your man like would be like really throwing a fit is if he's seeing another woman. Or another man. Or another man. Can't rule things out nowadays. Honestly. What did people say? We only I think we only got one response. They said it's only a problem if they're constantly checking it. And yeah, I agree. Wait, I think we got two. Oh. And our um. Someone else said, I need to know when he's at McDonald's so I can ask for a fry and McFlurry. That's right. Wait, that's so true. Okay, that's so true. So I want his location for sure. Yeah. He doesn't need my baby. Yeah. Yeah. But then you really have to be looking and being like, is he going to McDonald's?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01He should just be checking in and seeing if you want McDonald's.
SPEAKER_00No, you gotta have like that location as like a pin.
SPEAKER_01So you always Yeah, you get notified every time he's at McDonald's. Wait, I think you can set like a like a notification to go off for like when they arrive at like a certain place. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Life 360, it would do that. Like if like, oh, like so-and-so arrived at home, I'm like, oh my god, I don't care.
SPEAKER_01I delete when I was in high school. When I was in high school, my family wanted to do life 360, and I was like, I'm absolutely not doing that. I never did that. I was like, I will not do it. Like, I have a boyfriend that I want to be sneaking around with. We don't need to know what we're doing. Hell no.
SPEAKER_00But it's like I don't care. Me, I'm like checking on my grandparents. I'm like, where the hell are they? Where are they? Well, like my grandpa will like will just leave. My like papa will leave and like won't tell anyone. I'm like, hey, so wait, what do you want to know? You're like, give me your location.
SPEAKER_01You know what's so funny? Yeah, is that my grandfather was so old he never owned a cell phone. Wow. My mom's dad never he only ever had a home phone. When what year was he born? He was born in 1923. Oh my god. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, so like he like lived in like my mom's childhood home until like he got too old and then he moved in like with my aunt and uncle. But he like never had a phone. So like if you needed to get in contact with him, you would either show up to the house to contact him, or like you called my aunt's home phone. Like it's kind of cool though. I know. So what did the people vote? Oh, we already say what the people voted? Oh, I didn't say what everyone voted yet. The people said 88% said I have nothing to hide, and 12% said they don't need to know where I am. Were you the only one? Was I the only one? Hold on. Okay, there were three people. Oh, okay. It's not bad. Yeah. That's fine. Well, you know what? I think both have their reasons for it, and I think it's kind of just like personal preference. Yeah. Because some people, it's like, I I trust you. Like, I'm and you know what? I'm gonna f if you do anything wrong, I'll find out anyways. So whatever. Maybe it's like a like a marriage thing. Yeah. Yeah, maybe. Because like I share my locations with you guys. Like, I didn't know that well when I shared mine. Right. We were traveling across the country, across the world. Like, let's go to Paris, but I'm not gonna hear my location. Our first sleepover was in Paris. That's crazy. Honestly, iconic. Yeah. And that's how strong friendships are born. Exactly. Go to Paris if you don't know that. And now we're gonna have sleepovers every night for the next 13 months. I know. Wow. We need to do like a where it started and like oh yeah. That's nice. I agree. I have so many TikToks we need to make. Me too. I've been literally writing them down. We have a lot to do. Wow. This was a fun episode. I know it was. And our last one to wrap it up in this gorgeous, gorgeous studio. So Ari. Say goodbye, everyone. Take a good look. Well, Ari, where can we find you first? You can find me at Aridemean.tent.
